Steve Albini
Recording engineer, Electrical Audio
Albini recorded thousands of bands, Nirvana's In Utero among them, by putting good mics in a good room and capturing the band as it is. He refused royalties and called himself an engineer, never a producer.
Still heard: Room mics, honesty and "don't fix it in the mix".
