Jim Marshall
Marshall amplifiers
A drum teacher who ran a music shop in London, Marshall built the JTM45 amp in 1962 when rock guitarists asked for something louder. Stacked cabinets became the Marshall stack.
Still heard: The crunch of a cranked Marshall is in nearly every amp sim.
