Tape Echo
Mike Battle's Echoplex and Roland's Space Echo
Battle's Echoplex used a loop of tape and a moving head to set delay time. Roland's RE-201 Space Echo (1974) added a spring reverb and became a dub essential.
Still heard: Wobbly, saturated tape delays are standard plugins.
