Bob Moog
Synthesizer pioneer
Moog's modular synths appeared in 1964, and his patented ladder filter gave them their fat, liquid sweep. The Minimoog (1970) put a synth on stage in one box.
Still heard: The Moog ladder filter is in almost every synth plugin, and G-funk lead lines owe it everything.
