The Capitol Studios Echo Chambers
Hollywood, designed with Les Paul
Under the Capitol Records Tower sit eight concrete echo chambers dug about 30 feet underground, designed with Les Paul. A speaker plays the mix in, a mic picks it up, and that real room is your reverb.
Still heard: Still in use, and sampled into convolution reverbs.
