Columbia 30th Street Studio
New York, a former church
Columbia turned an old church into a studio with a ceiling so high the room itself was the reverb. Miles Davis recorded Kind of Blue there in 1959.
Still heard: Big natural rooms are still the reverb everybody tries to fake.
