Doc Watson
Flatpicking guitarist
Doc Watson played fast fiddle tunes on a flatpicked acoustic guitar, and his performances in the folk revival of the early 1960s made the guitar a lead voice in bluegrass and old-time music.
Still heard: Flatpicked lead guitar runs in every bluegrass jam.
