Drift Phonk
Kordhell and the TikTok era
Producers sped phonk up, layered distorted 808s and heavy cowbell melodies, and matched it to drifting car clips. Kordhell's "Murder in My Mind" (2022) was one of the tracks that took it global.
Still heard: Cowbell leads and clipped 808s are the drift phonk signature.
