Grady Martin's Fuzz
Nashville session guitarist
On Marty Robbins' "Don't Worry", a faulty channel in the console fuzzed out Martin's six-string bass solo. They kept it, and Gibson soon sold the Maestro Fuzz-Tone, the pedal behind "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction".
Still heard: Fuzz and distortion plugins all start with a broken channel in Nashville.
