DJ Toomp and Shawty Redd
Atlanta producers
Toomp produced for T.I., whose album Trap Muzik (2003) named the sound, and Shawty Redd's dark synths and 808s drove Young Jeezy's Thug Motivation 101 (2005).
Still heard: The trap blueprint: dark synths, hard 808s and rolling hats.
