Wendy Carlos
Synthesist and composer
Switched-On Bach (1968) proved the Moog could make real music and became a huge seller. Carlos went on to score A Clockwork Orange, The Shining (with Rachel Elkind) and Tron.
Still heard: Orchestral synth scoring and synth-pop both learned from her.
