Amapiano's Log Drum
Johannesburg townships
Amapiano grew from South African house in the townships of Gauteng in the mid-2010s, built on a gliding, percussive "log drum" bass and jazzy keys.
Still heard: The log drum bass is crossing into afrobeats and pop.
