The Quick Mix Theory
Flash worked out how to cue the next record in headphones and cut between two copies precisely on the beat, looping breaks seamlessly. He called it the Quick Mix Theory and treated the turntables as an instrument.
Still heard: Beat-matching, cueing and the loop are the basics of every DJ and producer.
